INTRACAVITY LASER-ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY DETECTION OF HCO RADICALS IN ATMOSPHERIC-PRESSURE HYDROCARBON FLAMES

摘要
Formyl radical, HCO, was monitored for the first time in an atmospheric pressure premixed hydrocarbon flame. Intracavity laser absorption spectroscopy based on quasi-(cw) argon-ion pumped dye laser was used. The sensitivity of the detection is ∼5×1012 cm-3 and can be improved with better flame and laser stabilization. © 1995 American Institute of Physics.
