摘要：

Ring-opening reactions of epoxides with catalytic amounts of 2,3- Dichloro-5,6-Dicyano-p-Benzoquinone (DDQ) are performed with high regioselectivity under neutral conditions, in primary, secondary and tertiary alcohols as solvents and nucleophiles. The corresponding β- alkoxy alcohols were obtained in excellent yields. © 1990.
