MAGNETOOPTICAL EFFECTS IN CDSXSE1-X SEMICONDUCTOR MICROCRYSTALLITES

摘要
The (p(f1), P(f2))-like exciton states as well as the (s1/2, S3/2)-like exciton states are observed in CdSxSe1-x (x=0.12+/-0.05) semiconductor microcrystallites by the magnetic circular dichroism measurement. The difference in the optical transition probabilities for sigma- and sigma+ polarizations and the Zeeman splittings are found to be responsible for the observed signals, confirmed by a theory based -on a multi-band effective mass approximation with the electron-hole exchange interaction.
