摘要
A phase measurement device by diffraction (PMDD) is described that is suitable to study concentration gradients (or temperature gradients) in aqueous solutions. It measures phase variations by measuring slight displacements of the diffraction pattern. Use of the instrument is illustrated by measurement of the concentration gradient beneath a growing sodium chlorate crystal. Its simplicity and the low electrical power required make it suitable for use either on earth or in space. © 1990.
