EPR STUDY OF RANDOM FIELD SMEARING OF THE PROTON GLASS-TRANSITION IN TL-2+ DOPED RB1-X(NH4)XH2PO4

摘要
The anomalous broadening and splitting of the Tl2+ EPR lines in Tl doped Rb0.52(NH4)0.48H2PO4 allows for a direct determination of the Edwards-Anderson pseudo-spin glass order parameter q at temperatures far above the nominal pseudo-spin glass freezing temperature TG. The data provide support for the smearing of the proton glass transition by the static random field resulting from the random replacement of the Rb ions by NH4 and Tl2+ ions and acting as an ordering field conjugate to the pseudo-spin glass order parameter q.
