Author's Synopsis: An analysis of the normal ECG of the laboratory rat has been made, using outbred Sprague-Dawley and Wistar albino strains. Changes occurring in the ECG under conditions of anoxia, injury, haemorrhage, and hypervolaemia have been studied and are compared with the relevant findings reported by previous workers in this field.
