摘要
The self-imaging (Talbot) effect is able to produce images of a periodic object without imaging elements. The planes in which self images are formed occur periodically around the object. In a different set of planes a multiple image of the object is formed. This can be used to construct images as compositions of basic object sub-structures. This image synthesis is described and experimentally verified.
