PLASMON THEORY OF HIGH-TC SUPERCONDUCTIVITY

摘要
We present here a plasmon theory of high-T(c) superconductivity. Some specific features of our theory are that the effect of layered or superlattice structure is fully taken into account and that plasma oscillations and the screened effective interaction between two charged carriers is studied on the basis of a tight-binding model. With an analysis of the gap equation and employing Gaussian functions for the various relevant atomic orbitals, we have evaluated numerically the superconducting critical temperatures of the La-, Bi-, and Tl-based oxides with very encouraging results.
