摘要
Mn//xZn//1// minus //xSe belongs to the group of diluted magnetic semiconductors. In this work the chemical transport method was used to prepare single crystals. The size of single crystals was about 1 multiplied by 6 multiplied by 6 mm**3. Before starting the measurement the thickness of the samples was reduced below 0. 1 mm. The measurements were made using a Cary 170 spectrophotometer and an Air Products cold finger, where it was possible to vary the temperature between 10 and 300 K. The measurements were conducted on more than 20 samples for different value of x. These experimental features provide direct evidence for the optical excitation of the manganese 3d state in Mn//xZn//1// minus //xSe.
