摘要
Accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) was applied for Al-26 tracer experiment to study the aluminum toxicity and metabolism in rats. To investigate the cause of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Alzheimer's disease, the aluminum incorporation into the brain (cerebrum) was studied by AMS using Al-26 as a tracer. When Al-26 was intraperitoneally injected into rats, a considerable amount of Al-26 was incorporated into the cerebrum after 5-35 days of the injection.
