摘要：

The letter stresses the importance of including the radial component of the transmit field of the feed horn when analyzing reflector antennas. Omission of this component leads to errors in the prediction of crosspolar patterns similar in magnitude to those produced by diffraction effects within a dual reflector antenna. 2 refs.
