DEGRADATION OF THE HERBICIDE CHLORSULFURON ON VARIOUS DRY MINERALS

摘要
The chemical degradation of chlorsulfuron on various dry minerals (kaolinite, silica, bentonite H+, montmorillonite K10) was investigated at 25-degrees-C. Reactivity was increased with increasing acidity of the support. Two pathways of degradation were initially observed. A: direct hydrolysis of the urea function; B: demethylation of the methoxy substituent. A general degradation pathway is proposed.
