FIELD-DEPENDENT SHEAR MODULUS AND INTERNAL-FRICTION IN ANNEALED IRON-BASED AMORPHOUS WIRES

摘要
Measurements of the shear modulus and internal friction (damping) are reported for amorphous Fe-Si-B wires in the as-cast and annealed states, as functions of applied magnetic field and axial stress. The maximum change in shear modulus exceeds a factor of three. The damping reaches maximum values of 0.033 at low field.
