摘要
Forth is a computer programming language which is relatively new and quite unknown to the common analytical chemist. It is an abbreviation from 'fourth' generation computer language. In contrast to the standard languages, it is not restricted by a finite list of instructions and data structures. Application ranges from producing special effects in films, the development of arcade games to the operation of robots, telescopes and satellites. For analytical instrumentation FORTH provides an environment for on-line control, data acquisition, data processing and report generation.
