RELATIVISTIC BOLTZMANN-LANGEVIN MODEL FOR HIGH-ENERGY HEAVY-ION COLLISIONS

摘要
The Boltzmann-Langevin model proposed earlier for intermediate energy heavy-ion collisions is developed further on the basis of Walecka-type field theory for describing fluctuation dynamics at high energies. Incorporating correlations into the equation of motion and treating them statistically, in analogy with brownian motion, gives rise to a stochastic transport equation for the single-particle density matrix. In the semi-classical limit, this yields a set of coupled relativistic Boltzmann-Langevin equations for the fluctuating distribution functions of interacting nucleons, deltas and pions.
