ONE-LOOP ANALYTIC COMPUTATION OF THE ENERGY MOMENTUM TENSOR FOR LATTICE GAUGE-THEORIES

We give a completely analytic determination of the conserved energy-momentum tensor for lattice QCD at one loop. The computation is presented for all covariant gauges, for a general class of one-plaquette discretizations and for a general choice of the discretization of the naive tensor. We review the general strategy for comparing lattice operators with their continuum equivalent ones and present some general results which can be of help for future analytical studies on the lattice. The trace anomaly is verified. As a byproduct we get analytical expressions for the operators appearing in the analysis of deep-inelastic scattering. These expressions had been previously studied only numerically.
