摘要
Data from a dropping decay experiment were re-analysed following the finding by other workers that decay is not an exponential process. Methods based on the assumption of constant age-specific decay gave biased estimates of the mean decay rate for the population of droppings. The best estimate was obtained by weighting the decay rate by the frequency of droppings in each age-class.
