摘要
This work considers noncoherent demodulation of DPSK when the receiver has partial knowledge of the information being transmitted. This partial knowledge represents preamble symbols, pilot symbols, or past decisions when operating in a decision-feedback mode. The maximum likelihood (ML) noncoherent receiver for this case is derived: It is shown that known demodulation schemes such as multi-symbol differentially coherent receivers and decision-feedback differential receivers can be considered as special cases of this data-aided noncoherent DPSK demodulator. A simple recursive structure for this receiver is introduced and its performance analyzed.
