EVIDENCE FOR A DIVERGENT SUSCEPTIBILITY AT THE GLASS-TRANSITION

摘要
We present evidence for the divergence of the static dielectric susceptibility in liquids as they are supercooled towards T0, the temperature where the dynamics in the liquid come to a halt. This divergence occurs when the width of the imaginary part of the dielectric response approaches a finite limit derivable from a scaling form for the susceptibility. Fits to the temperature dependence of the width indicate that this divergence may occur at T0. © 1995 The American Physical Society.
