It is well established that cyclosporin A is effective in the treatment of psoriasis and many other dermatologic conditions. In this article, recommendations regarding the optimal use of cyclosporine for the treatment of psoriasis are presented with an emphasis on information that Will be relevent for the average clinician. in addition to the most important issues, such as dosage, side effects, patient selection, and so forth, the article also covers pharmocokinetics and contains a brief section on mechanisms of action.
