摘要
The motion of a single vacancy in a face centered cubic crystal of hard spheres was studied at several densities by the method of molecular dynamics. A marked persistence of vacancy jump direction was found from one jump to the next whenever the interval between jumps was less than 20 collisions per particle. The significance of this effect for diffusion is discussed. © 1968.
