摘要
A time spectrum of surface muons from the decay pi(+) --> mu(+)nu (P-mu+ = 30 MeV/c) was measured using a secondary beam channel as a spectrometer, yielding the pion lifetime tau(pi), = 26.0231 +/- 0.0050 (stat) +/- 0.0084 (syst) ns.
