摘要
Chlorophyll fluorescence induction curves were recorded for spinach leaves following the formation of DELTApH-dependent non-photochemical dissipation of excitation energy, qE. It was found that the minimum level of fluorescence, when all Photosystem II reaction centres are open, was quenched by up to 54%, inconsistent with proposals that qE results from inhibition of electron donation to the Photosystem II reaction centre, but lending support to the site of quenching being in the antenna chlorophylls.
