摘要
Plum and peach stones have been used as precursors for preparation of activated carbons. Carbonization followed by activation in CO//2 and direct activation in CO//2 are compared. The adsorption of N//2 (77 K), CO//2 (273 K), i-butane (273 K) and paranitrophenol and methylene blue (both from aqueous solution, at 298 K) have been used to study microporosity. Peach stones yield activated carbons with a molecular sieving effect toward i-butane; these carbons exhibit a narrow microporosity. Microporosity and macroporosity is more developed in carbons prepared from plum stones; development is more marked when using direct activation.
