摘要
We introduce a new parameter, the "field factor" written Fij, which allows a theoritical study of nonlinear crystalline optical properties, in particular for the determination of the elements of the tensors χ(2) and χ(3). Fij corresponds to the contributi on of each element χij to the effective coefficient χeff. Field factors are calculated for each phase matching direction of THG of type I and II for the conversion 2.6 μm → 0.866 μm in KTiOPO4. The phase relations between the different Fij are studied in relation to the crystalline symmetry. © 1990.
