HALF-LIFE MEASUREMENT FOR (ND)-N-150 2-BETA-2-NU DECAY IN THE TIME PROJECTION CHAMBER EXPERIMENT

摘要
We obtain a positive effect in the experiment to search for two-neutrino beta beta decay of Nd-150 by using the Time Projection Chamber. The half-life T-1/2(2 beta 2 nu)=[1.88(-0.39)(+0.66) (stat.)+/-0.19 (syst.)]X10(19) yr is defined from the analysis of the data accumulated with samples of Nd-150 (92% enrichment) and Nd-nat (the natural isotopic abundance is 5.6%). The effect to the background ratio is equal to 4/1. The background from radioactive impurities in the sources is estimated experimentally in a special series of measurements.
