摘要：

The use of the CONNECT dialogue system in concurrent CP/M is described. Using this operating system tasks are placed in separate CP/M partitions to the dialogue executor and interprocess communication is effected by queues. Thus a dialogue can be 'built-out' onto an existing task with little change to the task itself. The interprocess communication facility and its implementation in BASIC is described in detail. An example is given of the use of the CONNECT system in building out an interface to a trivial editing task. The use of a where-am-I partition using path algebras is briefly described.
