摘要
The paper describes the findings of an experimental study of the electrode kinetic behavior of nickel in aqueous stearic acid salt media at temperatures between 35 degree C and 210 degree C. It is shown that the calculated maximum anodic current density (i//m//a//x) from the measurements involved in the active-passive transition, increased rapidly with temperature above 170 degree C. This suggests that the passivating film is much less stable at these temperatures. In accord with this, the current density observed at plus 800 mv (i//p//a//s//s) in the positive-going sweep also increased rapidly at temperatures above 170 degree C. This work is designed to provide an understanding of the corrosion processes at work in a number of industrial distillation conditions.
