摘要
The electrochemical reduction of o-benzoquinone dioxime (o-BQD) at a Pt/Bi(upd) electrode was studied in aqueous acid solutions. The reduction follows the ECECE mechanism, where the chemical reactions are the dehydration of unstable hydroxylamine intermediates. The ECECE sequence was characterized by means of cyclic, rotating-disc and ring-disc voltammetry. The exact rate constants were determined by means of an iterative method using chronoamperometric data.
