摘要：

The principle of motion-adaptive standards conversion is explained, and the requirements for motion detectors, used in such applications, are stated. A detailed description of the functional blocks of the motion detector is then given. Advantages and disadvantages of motion-adaptive standards conversion, as compared to fixed vertical-temporal filtering and motion compensation techniques, are discussed.
