Excess molar volumes V(E) of 1-chloronaphthalene and 1-methylnaphthalene + five methyl n-alkyl ketones have been determined from density measurements at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure by means of an Anton Paar digital densimeter. Values of V(E) are all negative (-0.9 less-than-or-equal-to V(E)(min)/(cm3 mol-1) less-than-or-equal-to -0.7). The variation of V(E) with molecular size is discussed.
