摘要
Current research activities on optical properties of fluoride glasses are reviewed; emphasis is given to the refractive-index dispersion and multiphonon absorption. The dependence of optical properties of fluoride glasses on their chemical composition has been summarized and interpreted under consideration of fluoride glasses as ionic substances in nature. The methods for calculating optical properties of fluoride glasses have been reviewed and a new calculation system for refractive-index dispersion and multiphonon absorption of fluoride glasses is proposed.
