摘要
Single crystals of a new niobium monophosphate BaNb7P6O33 have been isolated and their structure determined by X-ray diffraction. This oxide crystallizes in the space group P31c, a = 9.992Å, c = 14.635Å. The structure consists of an original framework built up from isolated Nb6O27 octahedral units and isolated NbO6 octahedra sharing their corners with PO4 tetrahedra. This host lattice delimits six-sided tunnels derived from the HTBs, where the barium ions are located. Structural relationships between this structure and those of HTBs, ITBs of the phosphate bronze Ca0.5Cs2Nb6P3O24, and of the fluoride CsBaCr3FeF12 are discussed. © 1991 Academic Press, Inc.
