AN IRAS STUDY OF HYDROXYL SPECIES (OD(A)) ON OXYGEN-MODIFIED CU(110) SURFACE

摘要
Dissociative adsorption of D2O on an oxygen-modified Cu(110) surface was investigated by infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy (IRAS). O-D stretching modes of multilayer D2O ice on O(theta = 0.1)/Cu(110) at 105 K were observed at 2729 cm-1 (non hydrogen-bonded) and 2530 cm-1 (hydrogen-bonded). Heating up to 230 K, OD(a) species with their band at 2679 cm-1 were produced by a reaction between adsorbed D2O and preadsorbed oxygen. The OD(a) species interacted with overlayered D2O or H2O through hydrogen bonding, and the deuterium of the OD(a) species exchanged with the hydrogen of H2O in the overlayer in the temperature range of 105-230 K.
