摘要
Two interferometric techniques have been proposed as reference test methods for fiber cladding diameter measurements. These techniques derive their calibration accuracy from interferometric fundamentals instead of calibration artifacts. Prototypes of these systems are evaluated and contrasted for accuracy, precision, simplicity of construction, cost, and ease of use.
