摘要：

A solid-electrolyte oxygen sensor was constructed from two fully stabilized zirconia discs and a gold seal. One of the discs incorporated a single laser-drilled pore which acted as the diffusion barrier. The amperometric device operated satisfactorily in the range 2-21 vol.% O2 and was relatively insensitive to temperature variations of ±50°C: it would be suitable for monitoring and control of the air-to-fuel ratio of combustion processes operated lean of stoichiometry. The gauge was valuable for detecting device malfunctions and also for establishing that the device was operating in the linear, diffusion-limited region.
