摘要
Photometric observations of CP Puppis (Nova Puppis 1942) show recurrent humps with a period of 0.06614 day (or its 1-day alias 0.06196 day). The orbital light curve is very similar to that of V1500 Cyg (Nova Cygni 1975); both stars were very fast novae of exceptionally large amplitude.The photometric period of CP Puppis is significantly different from the recently reported spectroscopic period which may indicate a 'superhump' or 'intermediate polar' model for the system. © 1985 Royal Astronomical Society.
