GROUND-STATE OF THE NON-HALF-FILLED HUBBARD-MODEL - A RENORMALIZATION-GROUP STUDY

摘要
The real space renormalisation method for the half-filled Hubbard model is extended to the case of the one-dimensional non-half-filled Hubbard model. We have estimated the ground state energy for several filling. This turns out to be in good agreement with the exact results. There is a clear indication that for all non-half-filled cases the energy gap is zero implying that the ground state is metallic; this feature is also in agreement with the exact solution.
