MULTIPLE-SCATTERING OF ULTRAHIGH-ENERGY CHARGED-PARTICLES ON ATOMIC STRINGS OF A BENT CRYSTAL

摘要
A theory of multiple scattering of fast charged particles on atomic strings of a bent crystal located parallel to one of the crystal axes is proposed. These conditions are obtained when overbarrier particles can deflect, guided by the crystal axis bending. This phenomenon is shown to provide for the bending of positively as well as negatively charged particles at angles that exceed considerably the critical angle of axial channeling.
