RANKING DEPARTMENTS OR SITES WITHIN COLLEGES OF EDUCATION USING MULTIPLE STANDARDS - DEPARTMENTAL AND INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTIVITY

To rank departments in colleges of education, experts in the departmental areas were asked to list the most prestigious departments, to indicate relevant standards of productivity, and to list the best journals in their field. Staffs of the prestigious departments were then asked to list faculty in their departments and answer several questions. Standards for productivity/impact rankings were publications in the ERIC database, editorships in 1979 and 1989, scholars produced, citations, and external funds. (C) 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
