摘要：

This letter reports on the preparation of alumina fibers based on unidirectional freezing of an alumina hydrogel. The whole procedure consists of the gelling of an alumina sol by dialyzing in distilled water, unidirectional freezing of the gel and subsequent thawing of the frozen material.
