摘要
When an individual wire in a multilayered cable is treated as a helical rod, the equilibrium conditions and kinematic constraints imposed by uniform extension and twisting of the cable lead to the result that the only interwire friction forces which can occur form couples which oppose change of the lay angles. © 1990.
