O-17 NMR RELAXATION STUDY OF DELTA-BI2O3

摘要
The spin-lattice and spin-spin relaxation times T//1 and T//2 of **1**7O NMR of Bi//2O//3 were measured as a function of temperature extending from the delta -phase to liquid phase. No remarkable difference was observed between the relaxation behaviors in these two phases. The activation energy for oxide ion motion was determined to be 0. 46 ev. The results suggested that the anion sublattice of delta -Bi//2O//3 is 'liquid-like'.
