摘要
A selfconsistent solution is derived for an interoffice ring network consisting of a cascade of 11 erbium-doped fibre amplifiers that closes on itself and amplifies 15 wavelength-multiplexed signals. The accumulated signal-to-noise ratio is sufficient for 10 Gbit/s operation at each wavelength, allowing a network capacity of 550 Gbit/s for a full mesh traffic pattern.
