摘要
The activities of enzymes of the basic pathways of the intermediate and central metabolism in the exoparasite Micavibrio admirandus were determined and compared with those of the endoparasite Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus. Both parasitic organisms were characterized by a weak functional activity of glycolysis, the lack of key enzymes from the oxidative part of the pentosophosphate cycle, and availability of enzymes of the tricarboxylic acid cycle. Basing on the above data, the existence of some common features of their metabolic organization was suggested, in spite of the principal difference in the character of their interactions with host cells.
