摘要
Disubstituted poly(p-terphenylenes) having different aromatic substituents have been synthesized by the nickel catalysed coupling of the dichloro or dibromo monomers. The obtained products were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, viscosimetry and thermal analysis. It was found that the solubility of the polymers prepared increased with the bulkiness of the substituents used. Viscosity measurements gave relatively low values for inherent viscosity n(inh). The conductivity after doping was also investigated and the values obtained were satisfactory, comparable to that obtained for poly(phenylene).
