摘要
The basic ingredients for photon correlation experiments are described and the measured signal simply related to the size of the suspended liposomes undergoing a Brownian motion. Polydispersity, which occurs when the liposomes have a variety of sizes, is then discussed and the various data analysis procedures are explained. Emphasis is placed on the intrinsic resolution limit of this method closely linked to the quality of the experimental set-up (no stray light, dust free samples) and of the recorded data (enough acquisition time depending on the sample concentration).
