摘要
This article discusses the proton-exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) as a high power and energy density power source. The two systems H-2/Cl-2 and H-2/O-2 PEMFC systems were compared over a wide range of mission lifetimes. It has been shown that the development of a H-2/Cl-2 PEMFC could yield a system with power and energy densities inherently greater than currently available in H-2/O-2 PEMFC.
