摘要
This design improves the authors' previous work by including losses in the nonlinear medium. Unlike other all-optical switches, the nonlinear region for soliton interaction in this design is much shorter. This provides greater flexibility on the choices of nonlinear material as well as reduction of the threshold soliton power. The coupling between the signal and control beams is included in our numerical experiments.
