ASYMMETRIC STRETCHING VIBRATION OF CO2 OCCLUDED IN HALOGEN SALTS OF ALKALINE-METALS

摘要
Evidence of CO2 occlusion in halogen salts of alkaline metals is given by IR spectra. Strong interaction between CO2 and the salt is is manifested by nu-3(CO2) shifted about 150 cm-1 from its position in gaseous state. The shift of nu-2(CO2) about 40 cm-1 confirms this fact. The positions of nu-3(CO2) band in halogen salts (Cl, Br, I) of alkaline metals (Na, K, Rb, Cs) are given. Band position dependence on anion and cation with respect to the crystal lattice of the salt is discussed. Examples of an other type of occlusion, manifested by nu-3(CO2) position very close to gaseous state, are also given.
